Wonderful all-inclusive hotel

A classic all-inclusive hotel where everything you need is available on-site — no need to go out or travel anywhere. It is similar to a Turkish 5-star hotel with very tasty food and high-quality drinks. The hotel is only 10 minutes from the airport but far from Funchal. There is a free shuttle bus to the city center, which takes about 20 minutes (3 times a day).

Most guests are tourists from Germany, Poland, and France, as they usually come on TUI package tours. There are not many children.

I stayed there in April  the weather is similar to May in Turkey: sunny but not too hot, very comfortable, although it can be quite windy at times. This is typical throughout the year.

If you don’t leave the hotel, you don’t really feel like you are in Madeira.

There is a seaside promenade for walking, as well as several cafes and shops nearby.

Territory

Not large, but well-designed — everything you need is there: pools, bars, cafes, spa, and a hard-surface tennis court.

Pools

3 outdoor pools (one for children), 1 large heated pool, 1 large unheated pool, and 1 indoor heated pool in the spa. The heated pool is not very warm, but guests still swim.

Spa

Small but offers massages, a hairdresser, and manicure/pedicure services. It’s popular, especially among European guests.

Food

Tasty and diverse.

Since it’s all-inclusive, food is available throughout the day:

 • 7:30–10:30 — breakfast

 • 12:00–18:00 — poolside café

 • 13:00–15:00 — lunch

 • 18:00–22:00 — dinner

There is a wide selection of hot and cold dishes, constantly replenished. Fish (including salmon, tuna, seafood), meat (chicken, beef, pork), fruits, and desserts — all very tasty and high quality. No queues, plenty of space for everyone.

For children

Nothing except a children’s pool.

No kids club.

Board games are available at reception.

Beach

There is no beach at all, and no access to the ocean due to strong waves.

 • Tennis  court, rackets, and balls are free

Entertainment

Daily evening shows: dancing, jazz bands, circus performances.

Morning activities include yoga, aqua fitness, and some entertainment for children.
